By Wini Nduta If you are moving out of your parents' home, you likely will not move into that six bedroom mansion right away. If you consider your space tiny, storage can feel like it is non-existent. I moved into a one bedroom that had the kitchen sharing a space with the sitting space. I loved it. I was so proud of myself to be able to provide for myself. I had to get clever about the space though. Here are some tricks you can use to store your stuff in an organized way: 1. Storage Baskets These can fit easily under your bed and on top of shelves around the house. Get creative and stick these under the coffee table too. These are good for storing everyday items such as books and cables plus they give the room a more organized look. If these baskets come with a cover, that a plus. You can also pick a metal or plastic basket which are easy to clean. 2. Same size mason jars This is good for your kitchen area. They can stand side by side on your shelf so as to save space. You can also get tiny plastic containers for your spices. These containers also allow you to stick on label to avoid confusion. This can be a fun DIY project. 3. Suitcases Store your special occasion outfits in a suitcase. This saves on your closet space and also makes it less prone to damage. Remember to add mothballs or silica gel sachets. How else do you make your space manageable? Tell us in the comments below :)

By Wini Nduta Are you guys into herbal teas like I am? I enjoy the process of walking into the supermarket, reading the label to see what good this packet of tea will do for me, choosing which one I will take home with me on that day, the getting home and unwrapping the pack YAY, then let's get the hot water and taste it! To be honest some teas, like my favorite Mwarubaini, are bitter but the benefits totally outweigh the taste. Many of the people I know cringe at the suggestion of drinking this tea but it really does have a million or forty benefits *see what I did there*. This drink is good for your stomach especially with bloating and aches, general detox, your blood, your breathing system and many more. Neem in all it's forms is really good for your health. Another one I am liking is Peppermint tea. I really does have a soothing effect which just relaxes you instantly. The first time I had some I wasn't so sure but I liked it. It also comes in the sweet Peppermint variety which might help those interested in getting the most out of taste. A few of us came together and bought a box of Roobois tea. We split it amongst ourselves and tried it. It doesn't have a taste but again the benefits, it is packed with minerals which is good for your teeth and bones. I also read that it is good for asthma, especially with the flimsy weather it can come in handy. *I don't take sugar or milk so these are just the tea bag plus hot water* What beverages do you love to indulge in? As per kawa share with us in the comments section, we would love to hear from you! By Wini Nduta Mirrors are a great way to decorate your room on a budget. They come in handy especially when you are trying to make the room look bigger. And also when you just want to look at yourself. Mirrors also reflect light so they will brighten up a room.
