How to manage dry skin

I've often received comments from women wondering whether I am wearing foundation, and when I tell them that I'm not, they get so surprised. The fact is, I can't complain about my skin, as I have never suffered from acne or pimples. I have dry skin, but I've learnt how to take care of it to the point where I do not see the need to apply foundation or concealer to hide any impurities.
There are very simple things that you can include in your life to help you achieve flawless skin. For the different skin types; normal, oily, dry and combination skin, you can access different products and eat various foods to keep your skin looking healthy.
To keep my face, and skin in general looking good and feeling great, I do not over do it with the beauty products. I try and stick to the same products and not keep changing them. Plus I try and keep a routine, that is one of the only ways the results of beauty products actually show. I use basic products to keep my skin moisturized and in this article, I will share with you what I use.

I use this St. Ives product to remove my makeup and clean my face. It's not harsh on my skin and does not have an intoxicating perfume smell like most other makeup removers on the market. After a stressful day the scent is quite relieving.

I don't know what I would do without Vaseline petroleum jelly! It's great for dry skin as it locks in moisture the whole day and I love the way once I use it I never have to stress about how my skin looks the rest of the day.

Free tips to create a facemask at home

I usually use this simple recipe as a face-mask to hydrate my skin once in a while. All you have to do is:
  • Mash one ripe banana in a bowl and add a teaspoon of honey.
  • Mix the ingredients together and slather it on your face.
  • Leave for 10 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water.
Banana has great ingredients that are important for the skin. It contains significant amounts of Vitamin C and B6 which maintain the elasticity and integrity of the skin. Plus it has some anti-ageing properties; and who can say no to younger looking skin?
Honey helps to unclog your pores while at the same time delivering moisture to dry skin, leaving it looking more radiant.

Makeup is only a mask to who we really are. Do not hide who you are.
