I was obsessed with Gossip Girl since the books written by Cecily von Ziegesar came out. The series had a good amount of drama, there is no doubt about that, but what I was really excited about was the fashion. Every single time a new season came out I would always be inspired by each outfit adorned by Serena Van Der Woodsen (Blake Lively) and Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester).
You can imagine my disappointment when they brought the series to an end and revealed who the real Gossip Girl was. Wasn't that the only secret 'she' was never meant to reveal? -And I use 'she' loosely because it was (SPOILER ALERT!)...Dan Humphrey. I'm sure a fashionista like you, who watched the series, already knew that. Of course the fashion wardrobe on the series was out of most of our budget's because they were designer duds, however; we get our outfit inspirations that way anyway.
If only they could bring back a new season, but otherwise, I guess I shall stick to other series' to cure my fashion obsession. And what I am also hoping for is a Kenyan series that will have a great wardrobe such as Gossip Girl.
In the mean time, here are some of my favorite outfits by S&B:

Have you watched this show? It's about the famous Sherlock Holmes but set in the year 2013, in New York. Johnny Lee Miller plays Sherlock while Lucy Liu plays his right hand Watson. Holmes is a former consultant to Scotland yard and also a recovering drug addict. He travels to New York City to check into a rehabilitation center then lives with Watson, who becomes his sober companion and eventually his apprentice.
If you enjoy crime solving shows like me, this would be great of you. Less drama and more let's- get- the-bad-guy.

How much do I love this show? Smart, beautiful, single lawyer Jane Bingum takes the world by storm everyday even though she is really Deb the aspiring supermodel. Have you guys watched this show? I don't know how else to explain it. A woman working for herself dealing with the usual issues of weight, looking for love and making her mark in her career. And have you seen the guardian angel that she has in season 5- muchos bueno! Did I say that right? We love this show and we will be watching.

Another entry for the Series to Watch segment Devious Maids! I am loving this show. It was created by Marc Cherry. He also is the creator of Desperate Housewives. This show feeds into my withdrawal from Desperate Housewives. i enjoyed how something that happened in season 2 could tie into another event in season 5.
Devious Maids tells the tale of 4 maids working in Beverly Hills trying to make it in life and a new comer who wants to join their group- but does not have similar intentions. It's pilot was based on the Mexican TV series Ellas son la Alegría del Hogar
If you like suspense, secrets and looking into the lives of the glamorous on the Hill, watch this show!
